GIZ in conjunction with AFEX needed to conduct a capacity building and training for AFEX Agricultural Service Providers (ASPs) on ASP Franchise Model for Agripreneurs. This was aimed at building Ginger commodities aggregators and Agripreneuers capacity in order to adopt and successfully replicate AFEX Agricultural Service Provider Program. In order to achieve this, they contacted FutuX to have our team facilitate the training.
What we did
We trained the Agripreneurs on the adoption of the AFEX Agricultural Service Provider Franchise model to improve their business processes in alignment with AFEX standards. Additionally, we trained them on basic agronomy of Ginger and good agricultural practices associated with it.

Agripreneurs trained
A total of 7 Agripreneurs were trained on the AFEX model for Ginger operations, AFEX technology stack for operational efficiency, responsibilities of Agripreneurs, agronomy and Good Agricultural Practices of Ginger.

Increase in knowledge
The knowledge of the participant about the Ginger value chain, AFEX model and the Agricultural Service Provider Franchise model increased significantly by 14%(65% - 79%).
